Anna travels back in time to kill Mary and John Winchester before they can conceive Sam and Dean, thus preventing the apocalypse. Castiel transports the brothers back to save their own parents, but they must answer awkward questions when their parents begin to wonder what's going on.

Lovers begin to kill each other in a small town on Valentine's Day. However, when Sam, Dean, and Castiel investigate, they discover that people are not just starved for love... and Famine, one of the Four Horseman, is fueling their hunger.

"My Bloody Valentine" is one of my all-time favorite episodes of SPN.

I'm mostly not a dark!Sam person, but "Wait your turn"? UNF.

Oh, Jesus, yes. That's the kind of thing that's embarrassing to watch with other people. Instant ladyboner.

I just love the whole thing with him getting handcuffed to the toilet. Withdrawal!Sam is one of my favorite flavors of hurt!Sam. I wish there was more fic about him going through withdrawal and getting comforted. It doesn't have to be S5 even. He could get hexed in S6 to experience it again or something.

I love how many flavors of Sam that scene gave us. We got hurt!Sam, tied-up!Sam, and BAMF!Sam, all in the space of a few minutes. :D

Mmmmm, yes. We must not forget covered-in-blood!Sam. Especially when he is telling someone to wait their turn.

My boyfriend is the biggest ESH/EDG and yet "Wait your turn" is his favorite scene ever. He even likes to quote it at odd times, which is....highly inappropriate LOL!

I'm mostly a Dean-leaning bi-bro but Sam has inched himself closer and closer. The entire episode was so friggen full of awesome Sam that I'm side-eyeing him currently for trying to make me a Sam-girl.
Hid bad-assery in this ep was phenomenal and it was all in the little things. Nothing major at all, but dang!

I'm still not entirely comfortable with how hot I found the scene of Castiel crouching on the floor, mindlessly chowing down on raw meat.

I found it humanizing. I'm always kind of surprised that when I see it referenced in fic it's mostly the indignity of it that gets brought up and not the hotness or other aspects.

See, if I were a D/C writer I would have been all over that as symbolic of his desire for the flesh.

Actually, nevermind the D/C, what about some dark-BAMF!Sam/desperate-pet!Cas?

I want some of that!

Right? Like some AU where Sam never gets over his addiction and, instead, takes advantage of Castiel's own addictive traits and uses that to control him with meat, blood, sex or whatever.

I guess this is more RoboSam than Sam but still, hot!

I love TSRTS. I thought Matt Cohen was really great in the role of John/Michael; I hope he shows up again (somehow) in S7.

Another favorite scene is when Cas shows up in the motel - he's woozy and the Winchesters are very concerned. The half smile he gives Sam before he collapses is so cute.

A fantastic pair of episodes :) for me, the season really picked up again here.
