What's going on? Why are we here? Is there a LJ apocalypse coming? I just woke up to find my inbox filled with comments about LJ death and moving to dreamwidth. I don't wanna move to dreamwidth! Everything is on LJ, and I'm not close enough to anyone on my flist to ask for an invite to DW anyway! :(
Is there no going back? Is this goodbye to LJ?

It's been acting up for me all weekend.

It totally crashed on me on Thursday or Friday (apparently there was some attack?) and worked very slow the day after. It's been in fine form for me the whole weekend, though. About one or two hours ago it then gave out again. Like, I can't access it at all. :(

The status.livejournal.com hasn't been updated since March 30th but man I wish they could manage to string together one grammatically correct sentence.

Oh lj, I come to you for solace and you kick me back out into the harsh light of reality. What am I supposed to refresh all day while I put off thinking about my job?

LJ being down has made me realise how much I rely on fandom for escapism. RL stress doesn't happen often but when it does I like having fandom here to retreat into for a couple of days.

Why are you all so immersed in fandom, nonnies? What stays you?

The same basically, except that there's frequent RL stress. Fandom - fanfic in particular, but fandom in general - is my safe haven.

Dear LJ,

please come back online. I'm highly annoyed by DW not letting me track just per email but insiting on stuffing my inbox, too. Also, the repeated questions if I'm 18+ and sure I want to continue gets on my nerves.
