Am I just immune to hugs or something? Despite yet another massive dose of schlocky sentimentality, I thought the brother stuff made no progress, and if anything regressed. I think the less of Sam for giving up on closing the hellgates, and I thought Dean came through as unlikably self-righteous in a way the ending was supposed to address but actually bafflingly kind of didn't. I don't know. I came out liking both brothers and their relationship less at the end than at the beginning, and I don't think that was the intention?
