I find the resetiness really, really annoying. It's just rude to one's predecessor to rewrite or ignore their work that way. Maybe Carver is under pressures from higher up, but it meshes with "hot mess" to give me a general sense of disrespect.

I agree with this completely; they are making the disrespect very obvious.

It's also disrespectful to the fans who watched last season. Does Carver think he's going to get an all new audience for this show in Season 8 or what?

I even liked a good deal of s7. And I liked s6 a whole lot. And my problems with s7 were that it dropped stuff, not the stuff it was doing before it dropped it, so dropping stuff yet more thoroughly and making it void as though it had never been is really not the way to win me back.

I want reset to S3 without the hiatus making them change their plans. That way Cas wouldn't exist. That's one thing that would infinitely improve the show.
