It's shades of every other time Sam's been MIA. Fandom always blames Jared, and as of yet, it's never actually been his fault.

The only public statements have been that both the Js wanted more time off, hence the greater development of separate storylines and secondary characters.

I think it's kind of ridiculous to conclude that Sam isn't in this episode because he's not in the sneak peek. There has been no indication that 8.6 is light on Sam.

And if he did, then what? Can't I complain about how shitty (imo) this season seems to be with Sam and what is going on with him? Jared can ask all the free time he wants but I think one good scene with Sam can be useful, we don't need a whole episode about him.
