Thanks! I didn't recognize the title, but I'd actually read it, and it wasn't really my cuppa (I wish I'd liked it better, because I generally look forward to historical fic). But thanks so much for reccing! I do appreciate it. :)

Ha! Well, I feel a little bad high-fiving over mutual dislike of a fic, but, you know. o/

It was the kind of histrionic romance that never does it for me. It had elements that I would have really liked in another fic (war! PTSD! history!), but nothing quite worked for me. Plus, I am never going to be a huge fan of "person A never ever moves on from person B, not ever." Plus, there was a woman forcibly outing a gay man so he could see the error of his ways and decide to be with her instead, which is a trope I would be happy to never read again in this fandom.

lol, don't feel bad, I've cried at much lesser fics (even ones that are not realy angsty. lol)
