Oh my gosh! I just remembered! All I needed was "were-something."

Jared is a werewolf. Misha and/or Gen decide the best way to deal with this is clicker training for Jared's wolf self. (Being me, this would not have bestiality, although Misha/Gen could wickedly carry over some clicker training into other things). Maybe Jared could be another kind of were-something, though.

But I am always open to additional inspiration, so maybe I misremembered some details, and I still need meme's help.

I am starting to think that Jared and Gen are a couple, but then Jared gets bitten by a [were-thing], which is a tremendous strain on them, so angst. Until acclaimed [were-thing] wrangler Misha happens on the scene and teachers Jared's [were-thing] self not be a murderous monster entirely through positive reinforcement and clicker training.

It would be all about positive reinforcement and establishing a routine so Jared's wolf!self feels safe and secure and like maybe he shouldn't eat Gen. :)

What about the one where Gen runs a comic shop and Misha and Jared are regulars who come but never at the same time and are both totally into her, and she is actually, though you'd never guess it, a little shy so thinks they are just flirting, and they both launch very different campaigns to woo her by proving that they are non-creepers, and she can't decide, but then *magic occurs* and threesome. Maybe the magic that occurs is Jared and Misha being set up on a date with each other by mutual friends, and discovering they both are into Awesome Gen the Comic Shop Owner, and because they are both easygoing, instead of getting all testosteroney and competitive, they decide to go in together and ask her out and THEN threesome?

I realise there are some holes in this idea. Basically, Jared/Misha/Gen comics wooing threesome.

(Gen kind of lost the comic book joy around the time Civil War happened and she had to break up with Tony Stark, and has been going through the motions and thinking about maybe selling the store and going back to school, but she's been having some really good conversations around the store lately, mostly with these two guys -- what were their names? -- and she's starting to think, maybe....)

It has been quite some years since I bought any comics (I was reading Alias and Grendel and 2000AD, iirc) and had to google Saga, but it looks pretty awesome.

It's REALLY AWESOME. Admittedly I am behind by a couple of months, since I tend to read comics in fits and starts, so maybe it started to suck in that time ... but that is irrelevant, because I am incapable of not enjoying anything drawn by Fiona Staples.

LOL, so, random googling for a totally unrelated joke I made on meme thirty posts ago turned up a subthread in which I subtly stan Fiona Staples and then cast an Authority fusion with Jared/Misha and Genevieve/Adrianne. My tastes haven't changed a bit.

I would really enjoy a fic where Jared and Misha are workmates and occasional friends with benefits who are both into the new hire, Gen, but neither of them want to cause a rift in the friendship by being the one to ask her out. And maybe Gen thinks the two of them are already together so at most she'd get propositioned for a threesome. Luckily, alcohol is there to do its job and while they are all drinking together one night there are inappropriate questions and revealing answers and they all realize that triads are the way to go. And then there is sex, of course. Lots of it.

/not related to your post at all, just putting that out there while we're on the subject

I basically have this fic in my pipeline, only in it Misha is a dragon. And ... come to think, I had not figured out how to actually GET THEM IN BED, but alcohol is of course a capital idea.

(Also I was just telling a friend the other day that Jared/Genevieve/Misha talk on the meme was almost always me, and the sudden upsurge in it the last two days makes me SO HAPPY YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. :D :D :D)

Dragons only make things better, so I am uber-excited for this fic of yours! And I admit I may rely too heavily on the "alcohol got them to do it!" trope, but it's just so convenient.

(I do not often participate in Jared/Gen/Misha talk, it's true, but I always enjoy reading you and whoever you're talking to [maybe also you] when you do! Obviously this Gen teensybang was a brilliant idea for inspiring even more talk and hopefully fic.)
