That's about seven more than I was expecting to find! Now I have the horrible decision to make: do I read one of those today or do I read the Newsies AU that's been open in a tab all week?

Well, some of those are fairly short. Perhaps Gen/Misha for a snack now and Newsies AU later for a meal? (Or vice versa.)

Clearly the world needs a Gen-focused mb. So we can have 10-20k of Misha/Gen, Mishavievalecki, Jared/Gen, Gen/Adrianne, J2/Gen, happy polyamorist foursomes, etc. etc.

Except maybe three people would participate. Except I would love those three people beyond the telling.

OMG YES PLEASE.

I haven't written anything in ever and I hate this show now but I might participate in that purely because it is the only way that Lister!Gen is ever going to happen is if I make it happen.

Shit. I just started thinking about a plot. A plot that hits my kinks but nonetheless, a plot. If you build this Gen focused minibang, I will come. Butt it will feature a lot of descended-from-cats!Jared.

:DDDD It started off with the other Red Dwarf nonnie casting Misha as Kryten for reasons which no doubt made total sense in whatever the context was, and then a whole Red Dwarf thing happened.

But I love Misha as Holly! He would be terrific at the disconnected tangential monologues when their lives were threatened.

I think it was originally in a thread that was actually about Misha as a robot, and maybe different Robots of Note were mentioned?

But really, I'm rapidly coming around to him as Holly. That's some excellent casting from the ayrt :D.

It is! But who shall be Kryten then? I will have to think about it as a I drift off to sleep. I almost want Jensen to be BOTH Kryten and Rimmer and have Kryten be the woobiest woobie to ever woob to make up for making Jensen play Rimmer too.

The Misha-Holly anon here, I think it would be hilarious to have that airy distance, and occasional meddling.

Have Jensen be Rimmer, for the excellent inseries potential. Two Jensen-Rimmers on that one where he nicks the second holodisk, not to mention Ace-Rimmer-Jensen :D

Kryten could be Jeff maybe?

Oh, RPF people. You are difficult, particularly when the minor-character-types don't have a lot of fanon.

Seb Roche would be Kryten with his etiquette sliding ruler set all the way at the other end. But fanon-Jensen is the one whose set of behaviours includes those most like Kryten's. Except also the most like Rimmer's.

CURSES. We could make Robert Wisdom into Kryten because he played someone who followed the rules (um, until that whole pesky rebellion thing) and was very strong?

DA - this is really random, but somehow this made me think that the woman who played Atropos would make a great Kryten.

Also, descended-from-cats!Jared is excellent.

iirc, Misha was going to be Kryten and Jensen a more sympathetic Rimmer, but there are so many ways it could go. Jensen could be Kryten and Misha could be Holly, with Adrianne (<3) still as Kochanski and... man, it's always so hard to find someone to be Rimmer.

Gosh, I want it so bad now! Badly enough that I am very tempted to organize it, even though my schedule makes that Not Wise and also I'm a NNF (granted, I think I might use a sock anyway) and also I've never organized such a thing. I don't have much free time now, and if I did, it would be this summer. But is that too far away? And wouldn't it overlap with summer things and SPNJ2BB? Gah!

Also logistics are hard :(. Is there a time that doesn't overlap with anything? I'm not sure there is... maybe before or just after one of the big bangs as a kind of fun break? If it's a MB, it can be low pressure... could try it out with even a 5k word/1 picture minimum or something for the first one, just so it's even more low pressure :). A teensybang, in honour of Gen's teensiness.

For logistics, It seems like if someone started organizing now with a rough draft date due in, like, the beginning of February, you could have posting in early spring when there isn't a lot going on. (Is there? I can't think of any bangs or minibangs posting at that time.)

I think there are SOME things in the early year, like the Era one (futuristic or period stories/art) that closed writer signups last month sometime? But I'm not sure there's anything really big going on that would be too inconvenient for people.

Blindfold, for example, which would have been a big distracting "event" type thing - iirc it was in Feb? There may well be gaps.

I solemnly swear that if this teensybang were to happen, I would sign up and try my damndest to write some Gen/Adrianne. I have no idea what the plot would be, but if all else fails hopefully extended PWPs would be acceptable.
