(Anonymous) 2012-07-16 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)It was evident last season that Sam's role was reduced. He felt very passive throughout the season, mostly reations to Dean and Bobby's plights. And his hell story was done in 3 eps and that was his main arc.
This season seems even thinner arc-wise since Dean has the Purgatory based storyline, aka the mythology.
If there's a season 9, there will be no Sam. I bet my fat ass on this one. Sam is soon to be history and if CW survives, somebody else will take his place.
I'll be in the corner, leering when it's announced that Jared is not returning for season 9.
