da I loved season five Sam /Dean. S4 and S5 were their angsty years but they still were the center of the story.

I thought S4 and S5 were absolutely awful for Sam/Dean.

da.

But compared to the first three season? There was a noticeable drop-off. S4 was the beginning of way too much of Sam and Dean chilling out on the sidelines while other people talked, of them being paired off with other people, and of their own relationship lacking in connection and tangible affection.

I agree, that year just did too much damage and things never worked quite right after that.

They were in S4 but it's arguable in S5. They definitely weren't by S6-S7.

You don't watch Swan Song? That was an ode to the epic love of Sam and Dean.

I agree about S6-7 but I guess Sera wasn't interested. Kripke's tenure I'm more or less pleased with their story as a whole.

I did but it felt more contrived and forced than anything else until the montage bit. I loved the montage and loathed the rest of the episode.

+ 1

S4 was the season where they had an epic, ansgty, awful breakup, and broke the world in the process. S5 was the season where they found there way back to each other, and the power of their love saved the the world.

... It sounds cheesy as fuck when I write it like that. Still true though :)
