And if Jared were perceived as complaining about Sam's storyline, fandom would not be merciful. They aren't entirely merciful to Jensen either (leaving entirely aside the problematic terms of some of Jensen's complaints), but given the fandom meltdown over unsubstantiated s5 rumors about Jared and Sam's arc, Jared expressing on-the-record displeasure would cause a nuclear explosion.

(Also, it seems like Jared is just a mostly positive person and tends to be the pollyanna.)

He really is a Pollyanna (without the fuck you if you don't like it part which makes fandom Pollyannas so annoying). Just recently he was enthusing about getting a chance to fix what he couldn't fix in the past. Now the party line changed/materialized, and he's all for exploring Sam's new happy separate life. I don't think he ever went on the record about not liking a storyline.

na It's a job, to both of them, and they must be thinking about what comes next when the show is over. Maybe he just thinks this new version of Sam will give him a bit more padding on his resume. Good luck to him, to both of them in fact, because S7 did not scream future prospects to me.
