I think the part that makes the most upset about every one of these spoilers is Edlund confirming that Sam didn't even bother trying. I mean, even when Dean was with Lisa, he was trying to figure out how to get Sam out (he was even still doing research a year later!) And even in that situation, Sam told him NOT to save him. How can the writers, especially Carver, misunderstand Sam's character this badly? I'm fucking flabbergasted by this particular spoiler.
