That would be best case scenario, at this point. As long as they are recycling plots, they might as well use them for fix-it.

My one, faint hope is that they will pull something like the late s6 reveal of Cas not Crowley all along, and it will turn out that Sam was more involved in the purgatory plot than it now appears.
