It's a stupid scenario, unless those spoilers are not real.

Sam thinks hunting is pointless because there's noone left to fight for (HELLOOOO WHAT IF YOU TRY TO SAVE YOUR FUCKING BROTHER), but we've seen Sam and Dean together as (possibly) FBI agents. So they're hunting again. So it leads nowhere, just to the same setting we've seen with Dean and Lisa. WTF, show, wtf?

Maybe Carver didn't watch season six. That would at least explain some of this mess.

Still hoping the spoilers are not real/are incredibly misleading.

Yeah. I mean, obviously Sam is hunting again in s8.

And now I am worried that Amelia is going to get the shaft as thoroughly as Lisa did in the end. No doubt Sam is now as over his objections to memory wipes as he is over his affection for his brother, and he'll end the season by mindwiping her.

I feel like the only two places this can lead is either her turning out to be a bad guy or they make her into a damsel in distress like they did with Lisa. :/

Or they just eventually break up all boringly.

It's The Year of the Love Interest. The opening credits are going to be hearts and flowers and sparkles.

Wasn't one of Sam's characteristics back in the first seasons to be averse to hunting? Then how is this "stupid" now?

He wanted anormal life, yes, when he had not gone through hell and back, didn't know he was Lucifer's vessel, that had demon blood, andhad not said a hundred times he was a freak and there was no way out of the hunter life.

It's like they don't pay attention to what has happened all these years.

(Ugh this is about as dumb as S7!Dean reverting back to the "All monsters must DIE!" Dean of S2. Stop steamrolling your character development.)
