Last season really catered to the Meg/Cas shipper in me so I really hope she's around again.

On an unrelated note, I'm super happy about the SPN ladies getting more love at cons. Rachel, Kim and Emily are going to be at ChiCon.

after reading Edlund's words, I'd say Meg/Cas is gonna have some moments next season (no, I don't think they're talking about D/C).

I found their relationship tender in a strange way. And I'm a big Rachel fan, so Megstiel makes me happy.

I adore that little moment in the car, when he asks if she's okay and she in no way wants to talk okay-ness around the Winchesters. It's a split-second, but it gave me Megstiel feels.

(I am honestly not sure how I'd feel about shippy Megstiel in canon, though, mostly because I'd be waiting for Meg's horrible death/the "reveal" of "Nope, still totally evil and working against you all along").

I think she's still an antagonist and that's how I love her, but Cas and Meg share a common enemy. And Cas usually helps the brothers, but not always sides with them all the time.

Oh, I agree that she's an antagonist and will remain one, and that's a good thing; I don't want cuddlebunny Meg. But I'm not sure I would love a developed sexual relationship between Meg and Cas in canon, if there weren't any genuine, if also deeply buried, feels (honestly, I'm not sure I could like it with Cas in his current state, either). More of their S7 relationship would be fab.

Megstiel's S7 interactions + sex + Meg living through S8 (THROUGH, not just dies-at-the-end) is at the top of my wish list.

Oh I'd like to see a kiss, but not really anything else, just something cute as we've seen already, that would lead to an honest bond between those two characters that were initially opposites, teaming against Crowley.

She's the daughter of a fallen angel, it's just fitting that she falls for another

Full-on sex (well, implied or onscreen) would make me a bit unconfortable, since both characters are using meat-suits and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Meg could be antagonistic with the Winchesters, even an outright enemy, and still have a genuine feelings relationship with Castiel. 1) He could join her in working against the Winchesters. 2) Or they could, like, compartmentalize and they don't talk about work and how they tried to kill each other earlier in the day when they are back at their love nest.

I think Meg/Castiel could make it work in canon, but it would be a lot harder, and she couldn't actively try to harm the Winchesters.

Granted, if Cas stays more or less S7 Cas, it could be Meg gets home from a long day of doing evil and Cas greets her with a sandwich and honeyed tea.

Not clear, since there's no real quote of his words, just what a fan interpreted. But something about 2 characters that are seen as 'something' and how they'll address it next season.
