Seriously. It's heartbreaking how blissfully carefree the days of possibly needing to kill your baby brother before he goes evil were in retrospect. It has given me quite the appreciation for fic where they have to do nothing and just laze around, like, healing and resting and looking up pie recipes.

Oh god, yeah. Someone did a picspam on tumblr, I think, of Dean in the early days and the way he used to flash this gleeful, careful smile. And then I think of what's to come and I HURT.
