There's something so heavy-handed about the way Singer comes across in interviews. I hope Carver is contributing subtlety and depth.

My only question is: where the fuck IS Carver? Is he interview-shy?

When not indulging in EMW!Singer conspiracy theories, I figure that Carver really didn't get involved at all till after the upfronts (their s8 summary then basically read "fuck if we know"), and at that point, not being able to do the kind of talking to both departing and incoming showrunner who were both involved in the transition kind of thing that they'd done with Kripke and Gamble, they figured they might as well wait and kind of unveil Carver at Comic Con.

If we don't get interesting, distinctive, substantive showrunner voice from Carver there, I may despair a little. I don't really believe in villain Singer, but I don't think he has the kind of imagination a showrunner needs.
