1) Alistair was an angel and Meg was his nephilim offspring (child of Angel and Man), and they both got cast into hell by God when decided that shit wasn't cool.
2) Alistair just refers to all his minions that way.
3) Alistair knocked up another demon or human and Meg and her brother were the results.
4) Meg sold her soul to Alistair as a human, and this somehow translates to her thinking of him as her 'father'.
I dunno. There are a million fan theories out there, you might as well just pick one. The show is never gonna address it.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-10 02:24 am (UTC)(link)See, I don't think that's necessarily the case. You don't have to torture others to be a demon, you just have to have the humanity tortured out of you. Azazel could torture Meg into a demon and then later have her train with Alastair. Or she could have done it after Azazel died.
I have enjoyed meta talks about Azazel as a fallen angel and Meg as his human/angel offspring, though, so that would work for me too.
