One thing I miss about blindfold is people talking about the prompts on meme or doing page number exchanges.

I miss this, too! But maybe all it takes is somebody to actually start talking about some prompts they're interested in and then others will join in?

I had kind of hoped to "promote" the kinkmeme a little with the reminder that some other nonnies and I post at the beginning of every month; maybe we could use that thread to talk about the prompts or open a new one?

That sounds like a great idea! Maybe so we could have more to talk about (since there will be fewer prompts when the post just opened), people could talk about the previous month's prompts in that thread?

Sure! In fact, they could talk about any prompt, no matter in which month it was first posted, cause a lot of the prompts get re-posted anyway. Although I doubt that many people will go back and look at prompts that are like 5 months old, so the focus could, as you suggested, be the previous month and of course the new, incoming prompts.

I think this is a marvelous notion. I approve!

Er, by which I meant that then we could focus on the prompts from that session instead of the previous session, which kind of makes more sense to me.

Okay, so did anybody else see that the mods had to delete a fill in the underage section, because it was plagiarized from a story posted on Nifty? I think that was the first time that something like that happened on the kinkmeme. I didn't read the fic in question, but I remember that the author didn't even post it anon, so now I'm obviously wondering if some other steps have to be taken, too.

I didn't (I don't check out the underage prompts section). I heard tell that there was a kink shaming incident early in the round, though. I'm guessing these were two separate things...

Maybe she will be reported to one of the plagiarism places?

Yeah. I completely missed the kink shaming incident, but I saw the mod's comment later, and it was a reply to a different prompt, so the two things aren't related.

That's exactly what I was wondering. I forgot the exact name, but isn't there a comm that focuses on plagiarized fanfic?

Not really. Everything got deleted, and there wasn't any discussion. The author, who, judged by previous comments they made in the thread, is very obviously ESL, but posted a fill in 10 parts that was written in like perfect English. Then, some time today, someone pointed that fact out and provided a link to the story on Nifty that was plagiarized, and when I checked again later on, the mod had already deleted everything.

Not too much at all IMO! We'll be in a different post then, so I doubt that I'd be too much to have another kinkmeme thread. To start the second thread at the 15th is an awesome idea, btw.
