And if they didn't put S/D or J2 as options, they likely would not have received a S/D or J2 fic. Thus, another pairing would have been written.

Well, I sure as hell didn't put J2 S/D or D/C down for my pairings and my fic gift was fucking awesome.

That's considered a dick move? Why, though? You're matched on the genres you're willing to write. So if someone didn't put a major pairing, the person receiving that person's sign-up sheet would still be willing to write for at least two of the genres the first person requested since they said in their sign-up sheet what they're okay with writing.

I didn't do that (because neither S/D nor J2 are my favs) and got the pairing I wanted. The filler won't be able to read you mind and can only assume that you really want what you prompt.
