Re: Why are more D/C fic fluffy compaired to Sam/Dean fic?

Mostly, I think it's just because there's a much higher percentage of AU fic for D/C. I've read plenty of wincest that is schmoopy, happy curtain!fic rather than grim "an incetuous relationship is just one part of their damaged lives" fic, but most of it is still roughly canon. Whereas D/C has a lot more high school AUs, college AUs, etc., where the characters don't necessarily have their canon history of tragedy. And a lot of the AUs have human Cas, which takes away the inherently problematic vessel issues, whereas most of the AU Sam/Dean I've read they are still brothers, so you are still dealing with incest.

As to why that should be, I think because Cockles isn't nearly as large as D/C, whereas J2 is even larger than wincest, and the people writing the fluffy AUs tend to just write them J2.

But Sassy has a lot of fluffy crack and Mishalecki is probably not much smaller than Sassy, so my argument sort of falls apart there.
