Re: Why are more D/C fic fluffy compaired to Sam/Dean fic?

It's going to be tricky, with various people chiming in who haven't actually read equal amounts of everything but are keen to claim their experience is universal. Like me! Er, I did just want to say that I'm quite aghast by the amount of fluffiness in S/D. Perhaps just because I really, really, really want S/D to be non-fluffy, and just really really want D/C to be non-fluffy. And maybe have a particularly low tolerance for S/D "acting like boyfriends" gestures which I'm more likely to register as fluff.

I am equally aghast at stories where Sam and Dean act like boyfriends and not lovers, but I haven't seen quite as many of those recently? And usually they aren't fluffy. Occasionally schmoopy at parts but overall the tone is still typically angsty. Forgive the reference, but BLoD hits that nail perfectly, IMO; Sam and Dean are written so much as boyfriends and not brothers that they wind up sharing a house together with a baby on the way and Bobby hooked them up while the whole town cheered them on. Yet that story is NOT fluffy. Nowhere near it.

ok, perhaps I meant schmoopy rather than fluffy.

And external angst (by this I mean anything outside of the normal nature of their relationship) doesn't count for me in this case as counteracting the schmoop. When their romantic/sexual relationship is schmoopy I just can't do it.
