Can't really help there. Most anime I watch is dude centric because, like you, I'm not interested in slice of life and romance. The closest I can think of is Ouran High School Hostclub - where Haruhi is the main character, but the most important other characters are all male. (She gets mistaken for a boy. Shenanigans ensue.) It also has romance. Hmm. Okay, maybe not the best suggestion.
Helsing is still more or less about Alucard, though there are two very BAMF female characters.
No wait! In Inuyasha Kagome is the main (and POV) character, though. It's still romance-y, but it's also - genre-wise - supernatural/adventure (Girl falls into well, travels into the past, hunts demons youkai.) Maybe try that one?
