It wasn't required in the format for springfling, but in general in fandom, there is a convention for "Author's Notes." I see them all the time. I'm still miffed this author warned for bottom!Sam, even though it is very relevant to my interests.

ayrt

Yeah, I use author notes myself, but I tend to use them for other stuff. Like, for my springfling, the AN would probably be "written for spnspringfling for ______ for the prompt ________." I guess there's no reason not to also put in info like bottom!X or hurt!Y, though I do get leery of having too much multipart info in the AN. But I guess it would be just as annoying to start multiplying categories in the header so I had Warnings, Content Notes, and Author's Note.

NA. I prefer it when people use enticements for top/bottom thing. Warning sounds so insulting to those of us who prefer bottom!Sam/Jared. Like:

Enticement: Top!Dean

etc.

Exactly. On the one hand, I'm happy to see someone writing bottom!Sam. On the other hand, it's written by someone who warned for it, blecch.
