:( While she was a drama queen, I really liked her art for this exchange. I'm sad it's gone. (Although I don't miss her too much.)

I don't why the mods still put her entry there, or at least put a note up saying the artist deleted. Right now they just look clueless. Seriously, sometimes I think the mods over there are fucking useless.

The strikethrough isn't enough of a clue for you? I'm not sure what purpose not putting up the entry would serve. This way people know why there's no reciprocity for the recipient, otherwise they might be confused and think the recipient had done something.

What I don't get is why people are always deleting their stuff in this fandom. I have never been in a fandom before where things were so ephemeral. There's always at least one deletion from every challenge before six months is up.

Deleting gift fic or art, or fic or art that is part of a collaborative project that will leave your collaborator's contribution stranded, just seems discourteous to me. If people want to flounce from their own LJs, they should post the stuff that involves people other than themselves to comms before deleting.

IDK, when I go, I'm going to request that my stuff be taken down from comms as well as my personal journal. I don't necessarily want incest porn floating around the internet that might somehow be linked back to me later in life. Rude or no, I care more about my own future well being than I do about my collaborator's contributions.

DA You can "orphan" things at AO3, and post them without a name attached. That seems a much better thing that taking back someone's gift.

That's good to know, but does AO3 support art?

Either way, when woodstarling deleted, she was obviously in a pretty bad place emotionally and her recipient's feelings about her art was probably not high on her list of priorities.

I hope she's doing better now.

AYRT AO3 doesn't support art, yet. It's on their list, but they're trying to figure out a way to do vid-hosting first.

Ahh, saw the comm was still up and assumed the art was still there. My bad; adding a note now.
