I thought that the case part of the plot was well laid-out. I liked the minor characters.

The romance was good, except for the dom/sub aspect. I didn't enjoy Jo always bringing up her mother, but at the same time, I guess it makes sense in canon.n Basically, it was cool to see more of Kathleen and of Jo, but I wasn't too convinced about their relationship. It didn't seem sparky, it just seemed more like some experimentation on Jo's part, which weirded me out.

But it was very solid.
