I agree with everyone that this is a good read, but Misha's character is so oblique to the story that I think it would be very difficult for someone who as never seen the movie to understand what was happening with his part of the story.

This is how I felt. I've never seen the film, so while I thought the J2 parts were really cute, I got no sense at all of the wider story. And everything with Misha just seemed pointless to me.

I watched the movie once when it first came out, but now I remember so little of it that I was still a bit confused while reading this.

I enjoyed it overall; I think it's well written and it held my interest at least, but sometimes I just had a slightly baffled feeling.
