As much as it pains me to agree with you, you're right in that no one should assume you're counteragent.

You don't get to talk yourself out of the situation like this. The comment in counteragent's thread was very obviously amiss. Still some asshole made it. Your comment was also "obviously irrelevant". Why wouldn't I assume that you're also an asshole?

Because it was obviously irrelevant and poking at someone who'd just been an asshole? Myself, I don't assume people are assholes without a little more evidence than poking at mean people.

If you took it as a serious bash against p-m or her work, then...well, I don't apologise to you. I apologise to p-m, who does great work every time out the gate. I sincerely didn't think I wasn't totally obvious. The quality of her work is unassailable, even if it's not to your taste. Very well executed.

Ah, okay.

I did take it as...well, a troll comment. If there's one thing meme's taught me it's that no one is safe from that, no matter how well they write or draw. I'm glad this got cleared up. I mean, it's possible that I'm the only one who didn't get the sarcasm, but I'd rather there was no doubt in regards to your intent.

(Also, agreed. I love her work.)

Speaking as someone who didn't read those two comments on the same day, it wasn't totally obvious to me. And I think that's true of the BB threads in general. They're not generally read immediately as posted.
