Cas and Santa didn't bother me. It's a short scene, and it's not like the whole store was looking at them.

I was confused by the ending, though. Dean beat up Greg, but didn't kill him and dumped him in the alley behind the store, why? I can see Dean killing him. I can see Dean leaving him alone. I can't understand beating him and then not killing him.

The whole store looking or not doesn't influence my reaction to that scene much, really. Anyway, as I said, it's YMMV. (It's not criticism of the author.)

Regarding your second paragraph, I was confused by the ending, too, actually. I read it twice, trying to figure out what had happened and why, but then gave up.

AYRT Yeah, I had to read the ending a few times, too. I feel as if I skipped something or part of the story was missing. They're all in different parts of the store talking to the monsters, and then they're checking out and leaving them behind.
