Warnings: er, there’s some lung-related illness going on, so if someone throwing up blood and other not-exactly-nice fluids squicks you then you might not want to read this. Implied PSTD. Also absolutely random usage of quotes from not-so-maybe-random classic movies. Also, starts heavy on the angst, gets heavier on the h/c and ends… probably schmoop-ier than what it might seem.
Spoilers: Set in mid S5 sometime before 5x16 and after 5x14. However, it contains spoilers for both Casablanca and The Big Sleep, if anyone might be concerned because of that.
Summary: where Cas gets seriously sick, Dean deals with it and Sam is (mostly) helpful.
