(Anonymous) 2010-12-18 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)because I'm hoping for a discussion with other readers, not with the author. a conversation in which the author is involved turns out differently. if she'd not responded, for example, this thread would be more about the content of the fic, rather than turning into a discussion about whether or not she should have responded.
this thread is of course open to her reading, but it's not her personal feedback channel. that's what her journal is for. this is for us to discuss what's good and what's bad. and in regards to the editing, i meant editing for an audience. the review i give to other readers is different than the review i would give to the author. different kind of feedback.
