I hardly ever even see Cindy in RPS, though. I think it's more that there's this set cast of characters that came up and was solidified years ago.
I've seen Cindy in a few recent stories, I think. It's funny, it's this environment of codification and fanon that makes me interested in RPF at all (since I'm not really interested in fic about the actors per se) but at the same time I do find myself wishing people would shake it up a little more. And, uh, write me that Alona/Megalyn I crave. My motives aren't altogether pure.
I get over it pretty fast (JDM/JA is my RPS OTP, I had to get over that one!) but I love interesting names in RPS so much.
JDM has "Morgan" going for him! "Jeff" is unassuming to the point of comical in a lot of contexts, but "The Dread Pirate Morgan"? Oh yeah, I'd sail away from that at top speed if I were the captain of a merchant vessel.
This is what happens unfortunately with a show that has no recurring black women which all on its own is just. Yeah.
