It sounds like we have very similar tastes! I loved the demons in S1-S4 best and I'm one of those who liked the idea that Purgatory might give us the option to play Ruby or Alistair again (not YED since he was killed with the Colt but the others!). New demons who have that same level of menace and gravitas would be very nice.
Heh. I get annoyed with Crowley because I blame him for Sam and Dean being continually stupid about trusting him. :D It's like they're constantly passed the Idiot Ball whenever he shows up. But I can get being pissed at them for that and not Crowley.
It was the portrayal of the angels that pissed me off. I liked it at first. S4 version of angels were AWESOME. In both senses of the word! Now they're just petty, small minded, ordinary people. IMO, Dick and his slick business schmooze would have had a better impact if they hadn't used that same trope with the angels for two seasons already.
