Yes, exactly. The Brody/Carrie scenes are so forced that I thought they were supposed to be. I really thought she was completely playing him, so I found the fact that she apparently really loves him very jarring.

Yeah, I agree. I'll miss Brody, but it doesn't make sense for him to survive the season.

I just hope Saul survives. He is by far my favourite and I am really, really worried.

Carrie reminds me a little of brainwashed Anna. I like your idea of Sam as supportive brother. We could scrap Carrie completely and replace her with Sam. Cas!Quinn could have included him in the team because of the insight Sam could provide. Sam figures out that Cas!Quinn plans to kill Dean!Brody after the operation is over and is trying to save him. Quinn eventually rebels against Zachariah!Estes' orders.

I am afraid our ideal writer is too awesome to exist. But it would have been so wonderful. Just the potential of the Dean!Brody/Alastair!Abu Nazir interaction is amazing.

BTW, how do you feel about Ruby!Roya and Meg!Aileen? Ruby!Roya could have started an affair with Sam in hopes of gaining information. When Sam discovers she is a terrorist, he'll be devastated.

I'll never believe Carrie 'really' loving Brody. It sounds so out of character for her.

Yup, Cas!Quinn would rebel before killing our Dean!Brody though there's always this risk that Sam might hurt him after discovering his plan.

We may be convert someone? God it gives me chills. My all time favorite episode in this show is on the head of a pin and Dean/Alistair scenes were so brutal and amazing.

Ruby!Roya would be awesome! Though which one? Ruby 1.0 or Ruby 2.0? I like Ruby 1.0 better to be honest. Who is our Saul? Bobby right?

Yeah, exactly. I'm wilfully ignoring all love references and chose to believe she's just obsessed with him.

The Sam - Cas!Quinn relationship would be great. I can imagine Sam being weary of him at first, but starts liking and trusting him as time goes by. Then he finds out about the plan to kill Brody and starts planning to take him out. But eventually Cas!Quinn switches sides and he and Sam start conspiring to take Zachariah!Estes down and save Dean!Brody.

On the Head of a Pin is tied with Lazarus Rising as my favourite episodes. They were both plotty, had a lot of character development and were just beautifully shot. The Dean/Alistair scenes were indeed amazing. Can you imagine the equivalent in Homeland? Brody torturing Abu Nazir?

Ruby 1.0 all the way! She's my favourite Ruby and a much better match for Roya. Ruby 2.0 is too meek to fit the part.

Yes! Saul is Bobby. Sam is his protegee, of course. But in our version he is connected to Brody, as well. John was a marine who died on duty. Saul, his best friend, semi-adopted his sons. Maybe Dean!Brody had already enlisted at that point? Sam went to Stanford and then decided to follow on Saul's footsteps and joined the CIA.

Also our Cas!Quinn would go against everything he knew. Dar Adal!Michael would be furious about who cares about him?

Oh boy oh boy.. Brody would surely take satisfaction from it more than Dean did. Part of me believes that even though Dean was reluctant from the start, a tiny part of his heart indeed took great satisfaction of torturing the man who made him go through endless pain.

I can totally see Ruby 1.0 messing with Sam, making him believe that she could help him.

I think Dean!Brody enlisted when Sam decided to go Stanford? He'd be 22. Yeah I can see Sam doing that, following the footsteps.

So it's gonna be homeland!spn au without supernatural elements.
