Hey, nonnie, I wanted to thank you again! They came and worked perfectly, and I even got my best friend to cut it so the ring isn't a loss. You're awesome! ♥

That's great! Nice that you got it off without injuring yourself or the ring. ;)
Are you wearing a stud, now, or did you go with another ring?

This convo inspired me to buy a bunch of new studs, too. I got a very cool one that's SPN-inspired, check it out:

lol!

I'm wearing a spike head screw ring. It's what I always went with before I decided to get ~adventurous. I think I might try another ring, though, if I can find one I like. I can be set in my ways, so I try a lot of things and take them out instantly. Getting stuck turned out to be a good thing because I got past that first impression of, "Oh no, it looks different!" and didn't hate it.

I've actually not really worn a stud like that before. I have some, but I always thought they might be easily lost because there's not much keeping them in. Are they actually okay?

They do come out a lot more easily than a screw. I usually take them out before I go to bed, or I have a tendency to wipe them off in my sleep. OTOH, they are really easy to change, so I can have my nose match my other jewelry every day, which is nice.

New puppy question

(Anonymous) 2011-01-06 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a first time "Mommy" to a six week old puppy. So far so good but everyone keeps telling me to crate train her. I hate the idea BUT she isn't sleeping at night yet, or at least not much. I have her staying in a laundry basket once I go to bed so she doesn't get lost/trapped at night. She doesn't cry or anything but I know that won't work for long. I don't know why I hate the idea of her in a cage - being unreasonable or any other suggestions?

Re: New puppy question

In my experience, it depends on your dog's temperament and breed. My poodle/chihuahua mix slept in her crate every night till she was five months or so, and she loved it (it was an actual crate, covered on all sides, with air vents and a cage door). I also put a blanket and her toys inside, and it was like a little fort for her, that my other, larger dog couldn't even fit in. Now she (a Maltese/Cocker Spaniel mix) hated her crate as a puppy. I tried to get her to sleep in there for about a week, but she would cry the entire night, and eventually ended up sleeping in my bed. All that to say, I suggest you give it a go, and see how your dog likes it.

I should also note that I allow my dogs free reign when I'm not home, and only use the crates now when I'm staying with my parents. I think it was good for both of them to have some experience with staying in crates, cause they don't freak out when they have to stay in one when we're visiting.

That is a good point. When I do travel most don't have pets so she will need to behave and have a place to chill out. I'll think about it.

BTW how small were your puppies? She's sooo tiny it makes me laugh :-)

ayrt My chihuahua was 1.2 pounds as a puppy (she's a whopping 5 pounds, now that she's fully grown), and the cutest thing I've ever seen. I spent the first few months I had her scared to death that I'd step on her, or squish her somehow. And when she started sleeping in my bed, God, I was terrified I'd roll over her in the night, and suffocate her. My other dog was a few pounds bigger, as a puppy, but just as cute. Just be sure to take a lot of pictures- dogs are like kids, they grow up quick. You'll be missing those tiny puppy days in no time. What breed do you have?

ayrt

She's a Rat Terrier and it's been impossible to get a decent picture so far! Except for sleeping that is lol. She's 1.5 pounds ;-)

Aww, they're so cute when they're that little. Are her ears still floppy? I'm a tremendous dork when it comes to tiny dogs.

Most of my pictures, my dogs are sleeping, being held or in motion; they were way too hyper as puppies to sit still. I don't know how people get all those posed shots with puppies (puppy in a mug with his head sticking out, puppy next to a soda can, to show how small he is).

Her ears flop when she tries to run. It's adorable. Also her toys are bigger than her..yet she drags them all over the floor. ;-)

Sex toys!

What are your favorite sites?

Also any sites that are a bit unusual? That stretch the limit on what some would consider, 'normal' sex toys?

And any recs for awesome toys people should try out?

I just know I want everything at wired pussy.com.

Preferably be in one of the scenes, just off-camera.

Where's that dog dildo site? I didn't keep the link, but that was awesome.

Not sex toy sites, but definitely some fun, weird stuff at these sites:

www.getdare.com
http://www.milovana.com/webteases/
www.warpmymind.com

These aren't precisely porn sites, but er, I don't know. They are fun ways to get yourself in the mood if you want something besides reading porn or looking at porn. I highly suggest any files by Cardigan at warpmymind. Should you want webteases for women at milovana, go to advanced search and then for gals. There aren't that many for women, but a lot of them are fun.

I get my toys at a local shop, so I've not really explored the internet world of sex toys much.

I have to know, though, how are we defining 'normal sex toys'?

Pronounciation

(Anonymous) 2011-01-07 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Out of curiosity, how do you all pronounce words like sure/cure/your/for? Where are you from?

Re: Pronounciation

(Anonymous) 2011-01-07 11:40 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Sure is more like shir, cure like cyoor, your and for sound the same. I live close to Vancouver.

Re: Pronounciation

(Anonymous) 2011-01-07 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
For me it's more like 'shurr' (with that schwa vowel sound), cyoor, yoor, and 'for' sounds like the word 'door' in 'shut the door, stupid!' ;)

Northeast U.S.

Why are you curious, OP?

Re: Pronounciation

(Anonymous) 2011-01-07 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm from Maryland, and we normally pronounce those words like they rhyme with stir. But that appears to be non-standard, so I was curious to see how some other people did it. Particularly the Canadians around here, 'cause when I look it up, they're the only ones I've found also pronouncing sure that way.

Re: Pronounciation

(Anonymous) 2011-01-07 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm from Oregon. I do not sound like a Canadian. I would rhyme sure with stir, but not cure, for or your.
