I thought the case part of the story was pretty good. I got the sense, though, that the author might not watch the show anymore? There was nothing in the story that seemed to indicate a specific time period, but it just read more like an early season fic. Like people assuming Sam and Dean are a couple and no Bobby or Castiel.
The characters kept mocking Sam's hair, which I think has looked good this season. Also, people kept calling Dean pretty in comparison to Sam, which I found annoying.
The story was sort of light on relationship stuff. Other than Sam having a couple of idle thoughts about wanting Dean, nothing happened relationship-wise until part five. Dean's characterization seemed off to me. He punches out a guy for having sex with Sam, which is the big clue that he has feelings for Sam, but it was OTT to me.
I enjoyed reading it, but it's not one I'd want to read a second time.
