I agree. The writing was lovely, and I liked the idea behind it, but it was definitely too rushed. Also, I'm a sucker for historical AUs so I loved that this started in the 1800s, but then they finally found each other in 2010? I would've been okay with them meeting up in the 2000s if she had tied it back to real life or something (like them meeting on the set of Supernatural would've been kind of cool), but as a complete AU couldn't they have found each other in the 1920s or 1940s? It'd still be quite a long time for them to have not seen each other (although I agree, I found it less and less believable that they wouldn't be able to find each other as technology got better) but it would still have the cool historical aspect.
Also I found the sex unnecessary. Their relationship felt very sweet and innocent and I think I would've liked this better if it had been PG or PG-13. Some kissing and the obvious implication of more in the future, but the sex (especially when it got super sappy toward the end) just felt tacked on.
